How this free Instagram scheduler works
Pick a feed photo, carousel, Reel, or Story; draft a 2,200-character caption with a grapheme-aware counter; add alt text per item; queue a first comment; and set a publish time. The fields mirror what Postmixr sends to the Instagram Graph API on your behalf.
Instagram caption character limit
Instagram allows up to 2,200 characters in a caption, including hashtags, mentions, and line breaks. The first line is truncated above the "see more" fold, so front-load your hook.
Reels, Stories, and carousels
Reels accept a cover image, a "share to feed" toggle, and a trial reel flag (non-followers see it first). Stories use a 9:16 canvas at 1080×1920. Carousels accept up to 10 mixed media items at 1:1 or 4:5.
